Pony Trekking In 2009 it will once again be possible for experience trekkers to view the Estate on one of the Balmoral Stalking Ponies. Pony trekking will take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during April, May, June and July. There will also be a limited number of full day treks available. Advance bookings are advisable as the pony trekking is very popular. All participants must be 12 years of age or over and be able to canter without tuition. The maximum weight we are able to accept is fourteen and a half stone.

	For the morning trek we request that you arrive at the Estates Office for 9.30 a.m. and the trek will take place between 10.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon approximately. For the afternoon trek we request that you arrive at the Estates Office for 1.30 p.m. and the trek will take place between 2.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. approximately. Parking is available within the grounds and the charge includes admission to the grounds, gardens and exhibitions. Please book pony trekking well in advance to avoid disappointment.

For the full day trek we request that you arrive at the Estates Office for 9.30 a.m. and the trek will take place between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. approximately. We would also request that for the full day trek you bring a packed lunch with you. At lunchtime the trek will stop at one of the scenic spots for you to enjoy your lunch and for the ponies to take a well earned break.
