Once you have purchased your ticket from the Gate Shop you pass through the elegant main
gates, either on foot or on the tractor trailer ride, and travel up the tree lined main drive
which takes you to the the Carriage Exhibition, where the audio tour starts. |

| The audio handsets are available from the Carriage Exhibition. Once you have browsed the exhibition in the Carriage Hall you can pop across the courtyard to view the short DVD presentation about the Estate, view some of the carriages and the art exhibiton before moving on to the gardens. |

| In the gardens you can you can wander through the large kitchen garden, visit the conservatory and enjoy the views from the fountain area before viewing Garden Cottage,
which lies in a secluded
spot in the grounds only a short distance from the Castle and the impressive rose garden. |

| The walkway entrance to the Ballroom is planted with culinary herbs and herbaceous plants and guides you in to the largest room in the Castle, the Ballroom. Here you can browse the many exhibits on display.
Afterwards you proceed to the Queen's Buidings to return your handset to the gift shop. |

In the gift shop you can purchase some of the exclusive Balmoral gifts before relaxing in the spacious cafeteria.
Afterwards you can then either walk back down the main drive to the main gates, wander along the riverside path or pop onto the tractor trailer ride if you prefer.
